US Trade Agency Probes Apple, Samsung, Google Over Spatial Audio Patents
A US trade agency has opened an investigation into Apple, Samsung, and Google over alleged spatial audio patent infringement.
The case was triggered by BoomCloud 360, a California-based audio processing company that filed a complaint on August 14, 2026.
The three patents at the center of the dispute cover spatial audio enhancement, crosstalk cancellation, and gain adjustment for audio processing.BoomCloud claims the three companies have been importing and selling devices in the US that use its technology without a license.
