USA Crushes Nicaragua 10-0 at WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup

Team USA dominated Nicaragua in their second game of group play at the 2026 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-15 Baseball World Cup, winning 10-0. The decisive victory was fueled by an eight-run outburst in the third inning, with Paris Head sparking the rally after a pair of hitless innings. Matti Di Maggio and Paxton Scoggin added to the scoring with hits, while Nate Handley-White's quality start allowed the U.S. to find its rhythm on offense.

Handley-White made quick work of Nicaragua through the first two innings, stranding opposing runners in scoring position twice. The right-hander turned in 4.0 shutout frames of one-hit ball, punching out six batters in the process. Lathan Boddie took over on the bump in the fifth and needed just 11 pitches to strike out the side in order.

With this win, Team USA will face Group B opponent Australia tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. local/11:30 a.m. ET at Estadio Sherwin-Williams Beto Ávila in Cancún, Mexico.
