USA Takes Early Lead at WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup with Win Against Czechia

Team USA kicked off its campaign in the WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup on a high note, defeating Czechia 9-2 in the opening game. The match was played at Estadio Sherwin-Williams Beto Ávila in Cancún, Mexico, on Friday afternoon.

The US team got off to a flying start with four runs in the first inning, courtesy of five consecutive hits and extra-base hits from Matti Di Maggio, Paxton Scoggin, and Chris Worrell Jr. This set the tone for the rest of the game, as Team USA applied relentless pressure on Czechia's defense.

The US offense scored in each of the six innings it played, building a substantial lead over the course of the match. Greyson Wuis capped off the scoring with a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth inning.
