Nigerian carrier ValueJet has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737NG aircraft as part of its plans to expand connectivity across West Africa.

The airline, which has established a network linking major Nigerian cities with destinations including Accra, Banjul, Cotonou and Malabo, will use the new aircraft to deploy additional capacity on high-demand routes.

ValueJet Managing Director Omololu Majekodunmi described the arrival of the first Boeing 737NG as a 'major milestone' for the airline, enabling it to serve more passengers and accommodate more cargo.

The larger aircraft will also support ValueJet's expansion into Libreville, Abidjan and other destinations across Anglophone and Francophone Africa.
