Vermont Trust Invests $24 Million in Cisco Systems Amid Strong Earnings

Trust Co. of Vermont recently added to its portfolio by purchasing $24.14 million worth of Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) shares during the second quarter. According to a recent SEC filing, the firm acquired 205,490 new shares, which is a significant investment in the network equipment provider.

This investment comes as part of a larger trend of institutional investors increasing their stakes in CSCO. Other notable investors include Networth Advisors LLC, which lifted its stake by 276.4% during the first quarter, and Manning & Napier Advisors LLC, which boosted its holdings by 137.0% during the same period.

Cisco Systems has been performing well lately, with a recent earnings report showing record quarterly revenue of approximately $17.3 billion, up 18% year over year. Non-GAAP earnings per share reached $1.22, surpassing consensus estimates. The company's management also issued an optimistic fiscal 2027 outlook, supporting the growth case.
