Veteran Daniel Fuerst Passes Away at Age 74

Daniel Eugene 'Dan/Ace' Fuerst, a proud Army veteran and long-time Ohio resident, passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Lima, Ohio, on November 4, 1951, Dan spent his life serving others through various roles and activities.

He graduated from Ottoville High School and retired after working for 30 years at Roundy's. During his time in service, he served in Korea during the Vietnam War. In retirement, he worked part-time at Home Depot and was an active member of American Legion Post 118 in Amherst, Ohio.

Dan loved cheering on his beloved Cleveland teams, including the Browns, Guardians, and Cavaliers, as well as The Ohio State Buckeyes. He had a gift for making people laugh and often shared interesting factoids or funny jokes with those around him. His quick wit earned him the nickname 'Ace'.
