Visa Partners with Reap to Bring Stablecoin Credit Cards to Over 100 Markets
Visa's share price edged up nearly 0.3% to $362.95 on Wednesday morning, following its partnership with Reap to bring stablecoin-linked credit card programs to over 100 markets.
The collaboration aims to enable businesses to use stablecoins to fund card spending while allowing merchants to continue accepting Visa payments.
Reap will handle the card processing, compliance, and day-to-day operations, while already settling its Asia-Pacific obligations with Visa directly in stablecoins.
The companies plan to explore payments made by AI agents within limits set by users, but this work is still an exploratory capability.
