Visa Shares Soar to New High Amid Strong Earnings and Buyback Plan
Visa (V) shares have reached a new 52-week high of $374.20, with the company's market capitalization exceeding $681 billion.
The payment processing giant has seen its stock price climb 6.37% over the past year and is currently trading at a price-to-earnings multiple of 31.56.
Visa's third-quarter earnings per share came in at $3.32, surpassing analyst projections by $0.09, while revenue reached $11.63 billion - a 14.4% increase from the same period last year.
The company has also greenlit a $20 billion stock repurchase initiative and will distribute a quarterly dividend of $0.67 per share to shareholders on September 1.
