Visa Stock Draws Fresh Interest with $1.12 Billion Hedge Fund Stake
Visa's stock has regained attention following a large hedge fund's disclosure of a $1.12 billion stake in the company, representing 5.4% of its portfolio.
This investment comes after Visa's fiscal third-quarter 2026 update showed double-digit growth in revenue, earnings per share, and payments volume, backed by robust consumer and cross-border spending trends.
Visa reported a 14% year-over-year increase in net revenue to $11.6 billion, with earnings per share growing 11%. The company also surpassed $4 trillion in quarterly payments volume for the first time in its history, with processed transactions reaching 72 billion and cross-border volume excluding Europe increasing 12%.
The hedge fund's stake highlights institutional investors' confidence in Visa's long-term growth story, which is supported by continued double-digit revenue growth, low-teens cross-border gains, and double-digit volume growth across U.S. and global markets.
