Walmart Posts Mixed Earnings Report With Revenue Growth and Operating Income Increases
Walmart (NASDAQ: WMT) released its quarterly earnings report for the period ending July 31, 2026. The retail giant posted a revenue of $187.937 billion, up from $177.402 billion in the same quarter last year. However, net income attributable to Walmart decreased to $6.366 billion from $7.026 billion.
The company's operating income rose to $9.383 billion from $7.286 billion, while income before income taxes decreased to $8.012 billion from $9.319 billion. The provision for income taxes also declined to $1.483 billion from $2.168 billion.
In terms of segment performance, Walmart U.S. generated $125.939 billion in quarterly revenue, up from $121.560 billion. Net sales were $125.189 billion, and membership and other income totaled $750 million. Operating income increased to $8.120 billion from $6.732 billion.
