Walmart's (WMT) stock has taken a hit after its Q2 earnings report, which showed the retail giant's slowest U.S. same-store sales growth in six years.

The company reported a 5.9% increase in total revenue to $187.9 billion, but same-store sales grew just 2.6%, missing Wall Street projections of 3.8%. This has led one of TipRanks' AI analysts, Xai Grok-4.3, to downgrade the stock.

The AI analyst gave WMT a score of 68 and a Neutral rating, with a price target of $113 implying a potential upside of 8.97%.

While praising Walmart's strong financial performance and raised guidance, the model noted that 'weak technical momentum and premium valuation act as notable offsets.'
