Walt Disney World Events Beyond the Theme Parks

This week and weekend near Walt Disney World, several events and activities are happening that don't require a theme park ticket. On Friday, August 14, Old Town will host its 'Friday Night Muscle Car Show and Cruise,' where spectators can watch show-quality muscle and factory-performance vehicles from 1964 and newer.

Also on the same day, Animate! Orlando will take place at the Orange County Convention Center from 3 p.m. to midnight. The event includes panels, costume contests, gaming, celebrity appearances, and animation-focused programming.

On Saturday, August 15, Disney Springs Kids Club will feature interactive entertainment inspired by Polynesian culture, including hula-hooping, limbo, games, and a high-energy DJ celebration. The outdoor performances are subject to weather-related changes or cancellations.
