A popular supplement sold by Whole Foods and Amazon has been recalled due to potential salmonella contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The recall affects one lot of 365 Whole Foods Market Standardized + Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules produced by Albuquerque-based Vitality Works Inc.

The recalled pills, identified by lot number 2025-26227, were sold in white 120-count bottles from Nov. 24, 2025, through Oct. 20, 2026, at Whole Foods stores nationwide and on Amazon. The bottles have an expiration date of Nov. 13, 2028.

The FDA advised consumers not to take the recalled pills and offered refunds at any Whole Foods store. As of now, no illnesses have been reported, and the potential contamination was discovered through routine sampling.
