Widow Sues Amazon Over Miami Cargo Plane Crash

A widow is suing Amazon and its aviation partners for negligence in connection with a cargo plane crash at Miami International Airport. The crash occurred on Sunday, killing five people, including Yaraisi Santiso Morejon's husband, Yoel Rodriguez Naranjo.

The Prime Air plane, operated by 21 Air, had been flying for over 32 years and had logged 'thousands of flight cycles' before the accident. Former employees of 21 Air had raised safety concerns at the company, including suppressed safety reports and inadequate rest for pilots.

According to the lawsuit, pilot error, poor training, and aircraft failure contributed to the crash. The plane overran the runway, plowing across a road used by warehouse workers and other businesses that surround the airport. Amazon has stated that it cooperates with regulatory agencies and operates its fleet under an FAA-approved program.
