Microsoft has confirmed that its latest Windows 11 update, KB5002914, is causing issues with copy-pasting in Excel. The problem affects users of Excel 2016-2024, who may find that their copied data fails to paste silently.

The issue was first reported after the patch was released on September 14, and Microsoft has since confirmed it's investigating the matter. Unfortunately, there is no temporary fix available yet, leaving affected users with limited options.

One possible workaround suggested by some users is to switch to LibreOffice Calc until a patch from Microsoft resolves the issue. However, this may not be feasible for everyone, especially those heavily invested in the Excel ecosystem.
