Woodure Toddler Stools Recalled Over Safety Risks

Amazon has issued a nationwide recall for Woodure toddler kitchen step stools in the United States due to safety concerns. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warned that the stools can collapse or tip over while in use, posing a serious risk of injury and even death to young children.

The recall affects about 91,000 Woodure Toddler Kitchen Step Stools sold online between July 2024 and June 2026 for between $60 and $100. The affected products include models WD1720, WD1764, and WD1357.

So far, Woodure has received 22 reports of the stools becoming unstable or tipping over, with at least 15 children suffering injuries, including scrapes, cuts, and bruises.

Instead of a refund, the company is offering a free repair kit that includes stabilizing feet, protective safety nets, and installation instructions to address the safety issues. Parents and caregivers are urged to stop using the recalled stools immediately and keep them away from children until the repairs can be made.
