Xbox Project Helix Part of Larger Next-Gen Device Family
Xbox has hinted at a broader lineup of next-gen devices beyond just Project Helix. In a recent statement, Xbox boss Asha Sharma revealed that Project Helix will be part of a 'family' of next-gen systems, with some manufactured by Microsoft and others by external partners.
Sharma emphasized that not all players have the same needs, stating, 'There is not one device that fits all.' She noted that while Project Helix will be the flagship console, the company is also considering options for players 'on the go,' potentially hinting at a handheld device or partnerships with third-party manufacturers.
The mention of a 'family of devices' suggests that current systems like the Xbox Series X, Series S, and the ROG Xbox Ally may not be part of this new lineup. Sharma indicated that more details will be shared as plans develop, including updates on the operating system, which she described as 'starting to look really good.'
