Xbox is now requiring users in Australia to verify their age before accessing games rated at 18+ on the Xbox Store and Microsoft Store.

This move comes as part of Microsoft's compliance with Australian regulations, which aim to protect children from adult content.

Users will be able to verify their age through various methods, including email-based verification, sharing their credit card or government ID, or facial verification by uploading a selfie.

According to the company, existing users who already own 18+ rated games won't be affected, but new purchases may require verification.
