Yadkinville Biscuit Maker Advances to National Competition at Disney World
A recent biscuit-making contest at the Bojangles Support Center in Charlotte, North Carolina was the first step towards the coveted title of 'biscuit queen or king.'
The semi-finals saw over a dozen contestants from across the state competing to make 47 scratch-baked biscuits within a set timeframe. Judges evaluated not only their speed but also the quality of the final product.
According to judges, all participants showed impressive biscuit-making skills, with Edith Chavez from Yadkinville emerging as the top performer. She will now represent Bojangles at the finals held at Walt Disney World in Orlando, where she will compete against five other finalists for the title.
