Yavapai College Students Receive National Scholarships from Coca-Cola and Chime Foundations
Three students from Yavapai College have received national scholarships to support their education. Nadia Mouawad and Lindsay Winfrey were named 2026 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholars by Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society, each receiving a $1,000 scholarship.
Mouawad said she was 'incredibly proud' of the achievement, crediting PTK for providing leadership opportunities, scholarships, and support. Winfrey echoed similar sentiments, stating that she is grateful for the recognition and excited to continue growing as a student and leader.
Robert Kerslake, another Yavapai College student, was named a 2026 Chime Workforce Scholar by the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation. The Chime Workforce Scholarship provides each scholar with $1,000 to help cover educational expenses while completing a certificate or associate degree in a high-demand field.
The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and Chime Scholars Foundation provide funding for these scholarships, which not only aid college completion but also give students the opportunity to engage in Society programs and develop leadership skills. The funds are earmarked for members who are veterans or active members of the United States military and international students.
