Azerbaijan Repairs Main Gas Pipeline for HBI Plant

Azerbaijan is undertaking major repairs to its main gas pipeline to ensure a stable supply of natural gas to the Hot-Briquetted Iron (HBI) plant. A 69-kilometer section of Line I of the “Gazimammad-Gazakh” main gas pipeline will undergo significant repairs under the 'State Program for the Development of the Mining (Metal Ores) and Metallurgical Industry for 2027-2030' approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

The technical condition of the main gas pipeline will be assessed, followed by a major repair project being prepared. The repairs are aimed at providing a continuous and reliable natural gas supply to the HBI plant, which is essential for maintaining stable operations.
