Azerbaijan Sees Record Vegetable Oil Production Surge in 2026

Azerbaijan has seen a significant surge in vegetable oil production this year. According to data from the State Statistics Committee, the country produced 30,449.2 tons of liquid vegetable oils during the first seven months of 2026, marking a 35.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

This growth is notable, especially when considering that margarine production has declined by 16.3% over the same period, with only 22,855.2 tons produced.

The country's finished inventories of liquid vegetable oil and margarine have also seen significant increases as of August 1, standing at 3,495.5 tons (up 16.08%) and 4,064.3 tons (a 21.32-fold increase) respectively.
