Bangladesh Gold Prices Soar Amid Latest BAJUS Announcement
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced an increase in gold prices on September 19, 2026. The new prices take effect starting that day and will be applied to all gold transactions in the country.
The price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been increased by 1,691 taka from the previous price of 2,32,930 taka to the new price of 2,34,621 taka. Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been increased by 1,574 taka from the previous price of 2,22,491 taka to the new price of 2,24,065 taka.
The prices for other types of gold have also been adjusted. The price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been increased by 1,341 taka from the previous price of 1,91,056 taka to the new price of 1,92,397 taka. Traditional (Sonaton) gold per bhori has been increased by 1,108 taka from the previous price of 1,56,064 taka to the new price of 1,57,172 taka.
