Bearish Fundamentals Weigh on Natural Gas Futures

Instruments
Natural Gas
Share

Natural gas futures were trading lower on Friday, headed for their fourth consecutive loss as bearish fundamentals persisted.

The demand side of the market was stagnant, with production topping 109 Bcf/d and gas storage still in surplus, although narrowing.

This has kept natural gas prices under pressure, with no clear signs of a shift in direction in sight. Weather forecasts have not provided any significant boost to demand, further exacerbating the bearish sentiment.
