Veteran trader Peter Brandt has been in the market for five decades and has gained a reputation for his accurate predictions on gold and Bitcoin price movements. He predicted the 1980 gold crash, when inflation led to interest rate hikes that caused gold's price to drop by around 80% from its peak of $850 an ounce.

In 2018, Brandt also accurately predicted a crash in Bitcoin's price below $4,000 after it exceeded $10,000. Now, he is sharing his long-term analysis on Ethereum (ETH) and has set a price target of $8,600. According to him, once Ether crosses the $5,000 mark, it will eventually hit this target.

Brandt's price target represents an upside of more than 200% from the current price level, and around 75% from Ethereum's all-time high (ATH) of $4,946.05 on August 24, 2025.
