Brent Crude Hits $106 as Middle East Conflict Continues
Global oil prices have increased for two consecutive days, with Brent crude rising to over $106 per barrel. The latest rise is despite reported efforts by the United States and Iran to reopen communication through mediators.
The market remains concerned about the ongoing Middle East conflict and its potential impact on energy supplies. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil prices have also increased, reaching $93.57 per barrel.
Market analyst Mahmoud Mashal notes that any progress in negotiations between the US and Iran could potentially suppress oil prices. However, concerns about energy supplies remain high due to increasing tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi group, which risk disrupting energy infrastructure in the Middle East.
