Chennai Gold Prices Soar on Global Uncertainty and Dollar Weakness

Gold prices in Chennai surged on Tuesday after declining the previous day, amidst global geopolitical uncertainty and a weaker US dollar.

The price of 22-carat gold rose by ₹300 per gram to ₹14,250, causing the price of one sovereign (8 grams) to increase by ₹2,400 to ₹1,14,000.

Pure gold also saw an increase, with its price rising by ₹327 to ₹15,545 per gram, taking the price of 8 grams to ₹1,24,360.

Silver prices in Chennai also witnessed a sharp rise, increasing by ₹10 per gram to ₹260, while one kilogram of silver climbed by ₹10,000 to ₹2.60 lakh.
