Chile's Producer Price Growth Slows Amid Mining Sector Strength
Chile's producer price growth slowed in June as prices rose 19.7% year-over-year, down from a 20.5% increase in May.
The mining sector saw significant gains, with prices increasing by 32.5%, driven by a 32.9% jump in copper prices.
Manufactured goods and utility prices also rose, increasing by 5.5% and 5.2% respectively, although at a slower pace than May's increases of 4.8% and 5%.
On a monthly basis, producer prices advanced 0.6%, slowing from a 2.8% increase in May and bringing the year-to-date rise to 8.8%.
