Copper Plunges Near $6.60 Amid Strong Dollar and Weaker China Data
Copper prices plummeted on Monday to nearly $6.60 as a strong US dollar and weaker data from China put pressure on buyers.
The drop in copper stocks and ongoing contract talks at the Escondida mine in Chile may help limit the decline, but for now, copper needs to hold above $6.60 to keep its recovery toward $6.95 intact.
