Egypt's Minister Monitors Gas Supplies Amid Summer Demand

Egypt's petroleum minister, Karim Badawi, recently reviewed the country's natural gas network and supply plans for the second half of summer. The review took place at the control centre of state-owned gas company GASCO, where Minister Badawi monitored supplies to power plants, industrial facilities, and other domestic consumers.

The inspection was conducted to ensure stable electricity supplies amid high temperatures. Minister Badawi was reassured that gas deliveries to power stations were proceeding regularly. He also reviewed supplies to industry to guarantee factories continue operating at full capacity.

The government has implemented integrated plans to secure domestic gas needs and respond flexibly to changes in consumption. These measures include the deployment of floating regasification vessels, gas shipments, increased domestic production, and advance supply planning.
