EIL Eyes $1 Billion Oil Infrastructure Deals with Saudi Arabia and UAE
Engineers India Ltd (EIL) is in discussions with Saudi Arabia and the UAE to provide consultancy and engineering services for oil and gas infrastructure aimed at reducing their dependence on the Strait of Hormuz.
The conflict involving Iran and the U.S. has disrupted shipping through the strait, one of the world's most important energy chokepoints, prompting Gulf producers to look at alternative infrastructure and routes.
EIL chairman Atul Gupta said Saudi Arabia and the UAE are planning investments of about $1 billion in pipelines, storage facilities, oil terminals, and related infrastructure.
The company is seeking project consultancy and feasibility-study mandates for the planned infrastructure, with opportunities accelerating once the conflict eases.
