Natural gas prices in Europe have reached near-record highs, trading at around €81 per megawatt-hour. This surge is attributed to depleted inventories and concerns over Middle East supplies.

The crisis in the Middle East has restricted approximately one-fifth of global liquefied natural gas (LNG) flows, further exacerbating the situation.

European storage facilities are currently around 68% full, significantly below normal levels. Germany's storage levels stand at just 56%, prompting traders to closely monitor the market.
