Florida LNG Plant Supplies Rocket Fuel to Aerospace Customer

A small liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Medley, Florida has started supplying rocket fuel to an aerospace customer at Cape Canaveral. Sawgrass LNG & Power announced last Thursday that it has begun shipping the fuel, with the first deliveries completed in August.

The interesting question for those following this story is whether any of the molecules used in the rocket fuel originated from Marcellus shale drilling operations.

This isn't the first time we've reported on Sawgrass LNG & Power; we previously wrote about the plant's plans to supply LNG to a major energy user. However, with the plant now supplying an aerospace customer, questions have been raised about the origin of the fuel.
