Farming is a labor-intensive and costly business, especially when it comes to fuel prices. Brad Weinhofer, a fourth-generation farmer in Pennsylvania's Lehigh County, knows this all too well.

His family operates 2,200 acres of grain farms across Whitehall Township in Lehigh County and East Allen and Allen townships in Northampton County. The rising cost of fuel has put a significant strain on their finances.

Weinhofer was operating a combine to harvest corn on his family farm when The Morning Call spoke with him. He mentioned that the high fuel prices have made it difficult for farmers like himself to make ends meet.
