Tourmaline Eyes Data Centers, Oilsands for Canadian Natural Gas Growth

Tourmaline Oil Corp., Canada's top natural gas producer, is eyeing growth opportunities in data centers and oilsands to drive the next phase of its Canadian natural gas production. According to Jamie Heard, vice president of capital markets at Tourmaline, industrial demand from Alberta's oilsands and a surging data center sector could add to LNG export growth.

Heard pointed out that Alberta is eyeing 1 Bcf/d in data center demand, while the oilsands require additional gas supply. However, pipeline constraints threaten industrial growth, which may impact Tourmaline's plans for expansion.
