Geopolitics Triggers Mahanagar Gas Supply Cuts Amid Global Energy Volatility

Mahanagar Gas Limited has faced a reduction in gas supplies due to geopolitical tensions affecting global energy markets. The company's Industrial and Commercial (I&C) customers are impacted as some of its suppliers have curtailed supply.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas issued an order on March 9, 2026, prioritizing the supply of natural gas to Domestic Pipeline Natural Gas (DPNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) sectors. In compliance with this directive, Mahanagar Gas has adjusted its supply in line with the prescribed guidelines.
