Global Gold Price Surge Hits Local Markets

Gold and silver prices have surged in both local and global markets. In Pakistan's All Sarafa Market and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola has increased by Rs2,000 to reach Rs440,636. The rate for 10 grams of gold also rose by Rs1,715 to stand at Rs377,774.

The price of 24-karat silver per tola saw a smaller increase of Rs50, reaching Rs6,578. In contrast, the international market witnessed a $20 rise in the price of gold per ounce, now standing at $4,181.
