Gold and Silver Prices Rise on MCX as Bullion Market Sees Early Gains

Gold and silver prices rose on Thursday morning (August 27) on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), with both precious metals gaining in early trade. MCX gold futures for the September 4, 2026 expiry were trading at ₹1,59,154 per 10 grams, up ₹493 or 0.31 percent from the previous close of ₹1,58,661 per 10 grams.

Silver futures for the September 4 expiry were trading at ₹2,41,648 per kilogram, gaining ₹2,010 or 0.84 percent from the previous close of ₹2,39,638 per kg.

The rise in gold prices comes after a decline in the domestic bullion market on Wednesday, where gold of 99.9 percent purity fell ₹600 to ₹1,66,500 per 10 grams, according to the All India Sarafa Association.
