Gold and Silver Prices Surge on Fresh Market Positions

Gold futures jumped to Rs 1.50 lakh per 10 grams on Wednesday, while silver futures rose to Rs 2.26 lakh per kg in futures trade amid fresh positions created by market participants.

The Multi Commodity Exchange reported that gold prices increased by Rs 1,288 or 0.87% to Rs 1,50,111 per 10 grams for December delivery in a business turnover of 1,092 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in gold prices to fresh positions built by market participants on firm spot demand.

In contrast, gold futures declined 0.10% to USD 4,178.02 per ounce in New York.
