Gold Prices Stage Comeback After Seven-Week Low
Gold prices rose on Tuesday after hitting a more-than-seven-week low in the previous session. According to market data, spot gold increased by 0.6% to $4,140.10 per ounce as of 0856 GMT. US gold futures also saw a gain of 0.1%, reaching $4,171.60. In contrast, other metals such as silver fell 0.5% to $60.66, while platinum slipped 1.7% to $1,688.17.
The recent downturn in gold prices has been attributed to a stronger US dollar and rising interest rates. However, analysts point out that the current price levels are still within the normal range for this time of year. As market conditions continue to evolve, investors will closely watch the developments in the gold market.
