Gold Rebounds to Rs 1.48 Lakh Per 10 Grams Amid Volatility in Bullion Market

Gold and silver prices rose on Wednesday, September 30, after two consecutive days of decline. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24-carat gold increased by Rs 712 to Rs 1,48,379 compared with the previous day's price.

The price of one kilogram of silver also rose by Rs 673, reaching Rs 2,22,273 against Rs 2,21,600 on Tuesday.

Globally, gold has recorded a significant increase since the beginning of 2026. As of September 30, the price of 10 grams of gold had risen to Rs 1,48,379 from around Rs 1,33,000 at the start of the year, representing an increase of approximately Rs 15,180.

Silver, however, has moved in the opposite direction over the same period. Its price stood at around Rs 2,30,000 per kilogram on December 31, 2025, compared with Rs 2,22,273 currently, a decline of around Rs 8,147.
