On August 22, gold prices saw a significant increase in Hanoi, Vietnam. Despite the rainy weather, some people still chose to buy gold on the weekend. According to Phu Quy Gold and Silver Group, SJC gold bar prices were listed at 144.6-147.6 million VND/tael (buying - selling), up 1 million VND/tael from the previous day.

Some customers, like Mr. Do Huu Trung, took advantage of the holidays to buy gold. He purchased 2 taels of plain round gold rings for a total amount of 29.7 million VND. When asked about his decision, he simply stated that he had a need to buy gold and saw it as an opportunity.

Ms. Hoang Thi Nga also bought gold on the weekend, buying 5 taels of gold rings to accumulate. She explained her reasoning by saying she has been monitoring gold prices for a while and decided not to wait for the price to decrease.
