Indian Stock Markets Rise Marginally Despite Fed Rate Hike Volatility
India's stock markets traded marginally higher on Thursday morning as crude oil prices declined from their recent highs.
The benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were up 86.49 points to 74,422.94 and 50.1 points to 23,267.70 respectively.
The Federal Reserve's rate hike and indication of further tightening kept markets volatile and limited any immediate recovery.
Hariselvan Radhakrishnan, Founder & CEO of HST Wealth, said that higher US interest rates could strengthen the dollar, pressure the rupee, and weigh on foreign investment flows into emerging markets.
