India's Fuel Prices Remain Stable Amid Crude Price Drop

Fuel prices in India have remained relatively stable over the past week, despite Brent crude dropping below $104 per barrel. According to recent data, petrol is available at ₹111.21 per litre in Mumbai and ₹102.12 per litre in Delhi.

The prices of diesel and petrol vary across different cities, with Hyderabad seeing the highest metro rates at ₹116.15 per litre for petrol and ₹104.23 per litre for diesel.

The rupee-dollar exchange rate plays a significant role in determining fuel prices, as India relies heavily on imported crude. When the rupee weakens against the dollar, the cost of procuring crude rises, which can feed directly into higher retail fuel prices.
