Iran Sanctions Boost Oil Prices Amid Global Market Uncertainty
Oil prices continued their upward trend for a fifth consecutive day due to growing concerns over tightened US sanctions on Iran. The move by US President Donald Trump to intensify economic pressure on Iran has led to increased uncertainty in the global oil market.
The white-to-raw sugar premium reached its highest level since March 2024, at around $154/t, reflecting increasingly tight supply conditions. In contrast, the copper market saw a slight easing of tightness after more than 35kt of metal was added to available LME inventories yesterday.
