A senior Iranian official has expressed willingness to revive diplomatic talks with the US if Washington demonstrates its sincerity in ending the conflict.

The official, who spoke anonymously to TASS, emphasized that the ball is now in the US court and that Tehran needs to see evidence of the US's genuine desire for peace.

'It is better to return to diplomacy,' the source said. 'Whatever document they want to sign, they must demonstrate that they respect the signatures of both sides.'

The Iranian official also emphasized that nuclear talks are still possible, but only after the full implementation of the Islamabad agreement, which includes unfreezing assets and lifting restrictions on Iranian oil exports.
