Low Gas Storage Levels Don't Threaten Germany's Winter Supply

Germany's natural gas supply is expected to be secure this winter despite low storage levels. According to Christian Buxmann, CEO of German gas importer VNG, the country has a broader and more resilient import portfolio than during the 2022 energy crisis.

The country's gas storage sites are only 57% full as of late September, which is below the European average and a historic low. This has raised concerns about energy security in Europe's largest economy.
