MCX Gold Prices Plummet Amid Weak Demand

Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell to Rs 1,50,106 per 10 grams due to weak spot demand. The price drop was significant, with a decline of Rs 3,171 or 2.07% for December delivery contracts.

The weaker spot demand is cited as the reason for the fall in gold prices. Global gold futures also decreased by 2.37% in New York.

On Monday, September 28, gold prices dropped to Rs 1,50,106 per 10 grams in futures trade amid a fall in spot demand. This decline was not limited to India as global gold futures declined by 2.37% to USD 4,183.18 per ounce in New York.
