The Middle East is witnessing growing tensions as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict in Gaza continue. Egypt, Türkiye, and Qatar have strongly condemned the recent Israeli strikes on Gaza that reportedly killed civilians, including women and children.

In a joint statement, the three countries called for greater international effort to uphold the ceasefire and avoid further escalation at a critical stage in negotiations between the Peace Council and Israeli officials.

The condemnation comes as energy markets have reacted sharply to the latest US-Iran tensions with Brent crude futures up $2.20 or 2.4% at $93.82 a barrel, marking its highest since July 24. The move shows how quickly geopolitical risks can impact global energy prices.
