The conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate as Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Houthi rebels exchanged airstrikes across their border, raising concerns about global oil supplies.

The Houthis have seized control of Yemen's entire Red Sea coast since last week, with the Saudi Air Force conducting hundreds of airstrikes in recent days. The US Navy is trying to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz, where a fifth of global oil and liquefied natural gas passed before the war.

The fighting has led to over 100,000 Yemenis being displaced, mostly within Yemen. Those who have managed to flee by boat have described the journey as 'frustrating' and said they arrived still crying with nothing to eat.
